Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Developer with 6-9 years of experience in Core Banking Payment and Remittance systems, specializing in AS400 development using RPG. The role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting applications related to Local Payments, Bill Payments, and Remittance services. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in AS400/DB2 environments, payment processing workflows, cash management, rate provisioning, GIRO, and Instant Payment systems, along with experience in code reviews and technical leadership.

Required Skills:

• 6-9 years of experience in AS400 application development and support

• Strong hands-on experience in RPG development (mandatory)

• Experience working with AS400/IBM i operating systems

• Proficiency in DB2 database development and performance optimization

• Strong knowledge of Local Payments and Bill Payment systems (mandatory)

• Experience in one or more of the following areas:

o Cash Management and Rate Provisioning, OR

o GIRO and Instant Payment processing

• Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards

• Strong understanding of Core Banking payment workflows and transaction processing

• Experience in production support, incident management, and problem resolution

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in Remittance systems and cross-border payment processing

• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD processes

• Experience with ALDON for AS400 application lifecycle and deployment management

• Experience with ARCAD DevOps and change management solutions for IBM i

• Knowledge of payment message standards and banking integrations

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies

• Experience in system performance tuning and application monitoring

• Leadership or mentoring experience within development teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain, and support Core Banking payment and remittance applications on the AS400 platform

• Develop and enhance applications using RPG and DB2 technologies

• Support Local Payment, Bill Payment, and Remittance processing systems

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and perform root cause analysis

• Support integration with internal and external payment systems and banking networks

• Participate in application release planning, deployment, and post-production support

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and support teams to deliver solutions

• Ensure system reliability, performance, security, and compliance with banking standards

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance where required
