Multiskill Operator

A global confectionery company operating in Malaysia since the 1970s. The business is recognized for its chocolate products and maintains a strong presence across retail and digital channels. It also participates in sustainable sourcing initiatives and community-focused programs.

Main Responsibilities

As a Multiskill Operator, you will be responsible for:

1. Operating and monitoring production line machinery and equipment such as mixers, moulding machines, and packaging lines in accordance with SOPs.
2. Ensuring machines are running efficiently and making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and productivity.
3. Performing machine start-up, shutdown, and changeover processes according to the production schedule.
4. Conducting product quality inspections, including weight, dimensions, and packaging condition checks.
5. Ensuring compliance with GMP standards and hygiene requirements to guarantee food safety.
6. Carrying out basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
7. Identifying operational or mechanical issues and reporting them to the Maintenance team when necessary.
8. Adhering to safety procedures, proper PPE usage, and company safety policies.
9. Recording production data, downtime, and waste, and preparing shift reports.
10. Collaborating with Production, Maintenance, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
11. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and IL6S.

Qualifications

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.
2. Fresh Diploma graduates are encouraged to apply.
3. Candidates with at least 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator in FMCG, food manufacturing, or related industries will have an added advantage.
4. Experience operating automated machinery or PLC-controlled equipment is an advantage.
5. Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
6. Machine troubleshooting skills are an added advantage.
7. Possession of a Forklift License, DOSH Safety Training, or HACCP/GMP Certification is an advantage.
8. Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
