Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Data Architect to support the RDI DIA Commercial Transformation initiative. The role will focus on modernizing the existing legacy data landscape using the Data One Platform, Snowflake, and Data Vault concepts.

The candidate will combine Data Architecture and Data Engineering expertise to define target architecture, design Data Products and data pipelines, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and guide development teams through implementation.

Required Skills

• Strong experience as a Data Architect and Data Engineer.
• Hands-on Snowflake and Data Vault architecture/design experience.
• Strong knowledge of Data & Analytics Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Mesh, and Data Products.
• Strong SQL and/or Python skills for data transformation and data engineering.
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline development.
• Experience with CI/CD, preferably GitLab.
• Understanding of APIs, data extracts, data retrieval, storage, and processing.
• Experience with data quality, observability, SLAs, and data governance.
• Strong stakeholder management, consulting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to guide development teams and translate business requirements into technical architecture.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• PULSE experience and ability to convert PULSE As-Is architecture into Snowflake Data Vault design.
• Immuta, Collibra, and Cloud Security experience.
• Knowledge of DIA Commercial Processes and commercial data.
• Experience with Contract Monitoring, Insights, Analytics, and Reporting platforms.
• Experience in commercial transformation/data modernization initiatives.
• Experience working with distributed EMEA/APAC Agile teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze the existing legacy data landscape and define target architecture and migration options for the Data One Platform.
• Design Snowflake/Data Vault architecture, including data models, data flows, Information Architecture, and Data Product blueprints.
• Translate business requirements into Data Products, data pipelines, and technical solutions.
• Apply data engineering practices using SQL/Python and Snowflake for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Work with APIs, extracts, user inputs, and other data sources while ensuring data quality, reliability, and observability.
• Engage with senior business stakeholders, analytics/reporting teams, architects, and developers to align architecture and business outcomes.
• Guide and coach development teams to implement architecture patterns and Data Product blueprints.
• Define and support data governance, data sharing agreements, SLAs, observability, and cloud security.
• Act as the Quality Gatekeeper for Data Products and drive continuous improvement across architecture and engineering practices.
