Role Summary
Our client is a global provider of innovative solutions supporting the biopharmaceutical and life sciences industries. They are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive business growth within Korea, focusing on advanced fluid management and single-use bioprocess technologies.
This position will be responsible for expanding market presence, developing strategic customer relationships, and delivering technical and commercial solutions to biopharmaceutical manufacturers, research organizations, and related customers. The successful candidate will work closely with regional and global teams to identify opportunities, support complex projects, and contribute to long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Market Expansion
· Develop and implement sales and growth strategies for bioprocess and fluid management solutions within the Korean market.
· Identify and cultivate new business opportunities across biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences sectors.
· Monitor industry trends, customer requirements, and competitive activities to uncover growth opportunities.
· Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with regional business objectives.
Customer Relationship Management
· Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and end users.
· Serve as a trusted advisor by providing both commercial and technical consultation.
· Lead customer meetings, product presentations, and solution discussions.
· Support customers throughout the project lifecycle, from initial evaluation through implementation and commercial production.
Technical Sales Support
· Provide application-focused support for bioprocess equipment and fluid handling technologies, including:
· Single-use bioprocess assemblies
· Peristaltic pump and tubing solutions
· Mixing and process systems
· Collaborate with global product specialists and technical teams to address customer requirements and application challenges.
· Recommend suitable solutions based on customer process needs and operational objectives.
Commercial & Project Management
· Develop pricing proposals, quotations, and commercial agreements.
· Coordinate internally to ensure smooth order management and project execution.
· Work closely with global stakeholders to manage project timelines and delivery schedules.
· Ensure effective communication regarding product specifications, lead times, and project updates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Act as a key interface between customers and global business teams.
· Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, quality, customer service, and product management functions.
· Share market insights and customer feedback to support portfolio development and business planning.
· Contribute to regional growth initiatives and strategic account development.
An Ideal Candidate:
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or above in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
· Approximately 5-10 years of experience in technical sales, business development, account management, or related commercial roles within the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
· Experience supporting bioprocessing, fluid handling, single-use technologies, or related manufacturing solutions is highly preferred.
· Demonstrated success in managing complex customer projects and driving business growth.
Skills & Competencies:
· Strong commercial mindset combined with technical aptitude.
· Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation capabilities.
· Ability to manage multiple customer opportunities and projects simultaneously.
· Comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization.
· Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
· Proficiency in both Korean and English.
Preferred Background
· Experience working with biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes and production environments.
· Knowledge of single-use systems, fluid transfer technologies, process equipment, or related bioprocess solutions.
· Exposure to global or multinational business environments and cross-functional collaboration.
