Key Competencies:
- Lead technical commercialization with customers by leveraging strong knowledge of the product portfolio and application processes to support new and existing applications.
- Demonstrate product performance using lab-tested data and technical documentation, ensuring customers clearly understand product capabilities and performance limits.
- Deliver technical presentations to customers showcasing product capabilities and solutions, aligning technical content with customer requirements and project objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve product- and process-related issues in collaboration with customers, coordinating closely with internal regional and global teams when necessary.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify and secure new business opportunities, supporting technical evaluations and customer trials as needed.
- Introduce newly developed products to target markets and customers, guiding qualification processes and application validation activities at customer sites.
- Identify gaps in existing products offerings and propose ideas for new product development, feeding structured technical input into internal R&D and business teams.
An Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer science, Material Science or other related fields, providing a solid technical foundation for this Application Engineer role.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the chemical or machinery/engineering industry, with exposure to industrial products, processes, or equipment in relevant fields.
- Laboratory experience in an academic course and hands-on chemical testing is required, including practical work with chemical formulations, measurements, and data analysis.
- Experience in General Machinery, Automotive and/or Electronics Industries is preferred, and PD or Sales experience is preferred if with laboratory experience to support customer-facing technical activities.
- Fluency in Korean and strong business proficiency in English is required to communicate effectively with local customers and regional or global stakeholders.
- Time management skills, strong verbal communication skills, and solid interpersonal skills are necessary to manage multiple projects and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Collaboration as a team, ability to work independently on multi-task assignments, successfully self-directs project work, customer-oriented mindset, and commitment to deliver quality work consistently are essential behavioral competencies.
