Technical Service Manager

Our client is the trusted diesel generator set supplier in Hong Kong, serving the global diesel generator industry for over 50 years. 

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline 
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a service management or technical management role, preferably within the generator, heavy equipment, or power systems industry
• Proven experience in managing maintenance operations and field service teams
• Strong technical knowledge of diesel generator sets, electrical systems, and mechanical components
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan, organize, and delegate work effectively
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese (both written and spoken); Mandarin is a plus
• Valid Hong Kong driving license is preferred
• Valid REW Grade A0 license is preferred
• Proactive, problem-solver with a strong commitment to safety and quality

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance and deployment of our rental generator sets, ensuring all equipment is in excellent working condition
• Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules for the generator fleet, including preventive and corrective maintenance programs
• Manage and coordinate all outfield service and maintenance jobs, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of technical issues
• Delegate tasks and supervise a team of service technicians, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures for all maintenance and repair work
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of service vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and equipped for field operations
• Manage spare parts inventory for generator sets and service vehicles
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service delivery
• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies
• Prepare regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and team productivity
