Working hours: 44 hours per week, overtime working is expected


Salary: $1,499 per day, $167 per hour (ot payment)

Requirements:


(a) a degree in Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Exhibition Design or Multi-media Design (full time); plus at least four (4) years full time relevant working experience in graphic, multi-media and exhibition design; OR


(b) an accredited Associate Degree or an accredited Higher Diploma for Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Exhibition Design or Multi-media Design; plus at least 5 years full time relevant working experience in graphic, multi-media and exhibition design;


(c) 2 years or more experience working in museum and exhibition design is an advantage;


(d) good written and spoken of Chinese and English;


(e) proficiency in latest 2D & 3D design applications (included but not limited to Adobe Photoshop CC , Illustrator CC, InDesign CC , After effect and SketchUp) and have good rendering & visual simulation skills;


(f) experience in desktop publishing and understanding of printing and production process;


(g) strong visual sense and ability to create visual elements, motion graphic production and developing great creative designs are required;


(h) creative, self-motivated and with good communication skill;


(i) mature, able to work independently and under pressure; and able to meet tight schedules / deadlines;


(j) honest, responsible and no criminal records; and


(k) a permanent resident of the HKSAR.

Job duties:

(a) to support the Education and Publicity Sub-unit and any other sub-units of the Department as requested by the Department and to assist in providing design services to a range of projects / programmes, e.g. exhibitions, workshops, education corners, publications and leaflets and so on according to steers of the Department;

(b) to assist in producing conceptual design drawings, 3D rendering and technical drawings and so on of the projects assigned;

(c) to prepare visual contents and presentation method for multimedia, interactive and displays in exhibitions;

(d) to assist in the mounting and dismounting of exhibitions, including exhibits, panels, AV and VR programmes, and setting up and dismantling of education corners, coordinating installation and liaising with the fabricators and suppliers;

(e) to assist in the creation and finalisation of designs, to produce artworks for publications, leaflets, posters, advertisements, advertorials and so on for the Department according to the steer of the Department;

(f) To design graphics and visual support for audio visual and VR production by the Audio-visual Technicians of the Department;

(g) to monitor closely the project schedules and liaise with printers, contractors and any other service providers on the work to be provided according to the quotations and specifications, ensure quality control and timely delivery of fabrication, printing and digital output matters; and

(h) to perform any other duties as assigned by the Department.
