Senior Project Manager - Global Transformation

Working as part of a dedicated transformation function, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of complex programmes and projects, ensuring effective governance, planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and implementation. You will work closely with senior leaders, business functions, change specialists, and subject matter experts to drive successful outcomes across a global organisation.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating complex transformation initiatives from inception through to delivery. You will establish robust project controls, manage dependencies across multiple workstreams, and provide clear reporting and insight to senior stakeholders.

You will play a critical role in shaping project delivery approaches, facilitating governance and decision-making, and ensuring projects remain aligned to strategic objectives, budget requirements, and agreed timelines.

The role requires someone who can confidently operate in a highly matrixed environment, manage competing priorities, and build effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of complex transformation programmes and projects.


• Establish project governance structures and ensure effective decision-making processes.


• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.


• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change controls.


• Provide high-quality reporting and updates to programme boards and senior leadership teams.


• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery against agreed objectives.


• Work closely with business analysts, change managers, technical specialists, and operational stakeholders.


• Facilitate stakeholder engagement across multiple functions and geographic locations.


• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.


• Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and delivery methodologies.

About You

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have significant experience delivering transformation programmes within large, complex organisations.

Charity sector experience is not required. The organisation welcomes applications from candidates across the private, public, not-for-profit, consultancy, financial services, technology, healthcare, housing, infrastructure, and corporate sectors.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Extensive Senior Project Management experience.


• A strong track record of delivering complex transformation and change programmes.


• Experience managing projects involving business change, technology, systems implementation, operating model redesign, process improvement, or digital transformation.


• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working with executive and senior leadership teams.


• Strong programme governance, planning, risk, issue, and dependency management expertise.


• Experience operating within complex matrix organisations.


• Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.


• The ability to manage ambiguity and navigate evolving priorities.


• Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.


• Relevant project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, PMP, or equivalent would be advantageous.
