Days 6am-2pm /Afternoons 14:00pm - 22:00pm/ Nights 22:00pm - 06:00am
Pay Rate :
Regular Hour: £24.65 including 3 shift premium
OT1.5: £35.02
OT2: £45.38
Our client based in Newton Aycliffe is currently seeking two Multi-Skilled Maintainers to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge manufacturing equipment and collaborate with a highly skilled team dedicated to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
The Opportunity
As a Electrical Bias Multi-Skilled Maintainer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our manufacturing equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will be involved in both reactive and proactive maintenance activities, helping to minimise downtime and drive improvements across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide reactive maintenance support in response to machine breakdowns.
- Carry out planned maintenance activities and jobs list actions to support proactive maintenance strategies.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce waste.
- Fault find and establish root causes of equipment failures, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Work safely at all times, complying with site procedures, permits, lock-off systems, and safety standards.
- Generate innovative engineering solutions and improvement ideas.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support functions, ensuring clear communication and seamless shift handovers.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Time-served Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship.
- HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Desirable Experience
- Manufacturing maintenance experience within a production environment.
- Knowledge of injection moulding equipment, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with PLCs, drives, and robotics.
- Understanding of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis investigations.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
