Permanent Machine Operator - Reddit, ON

Adecco is currently hiring a Machine Operator for a full-time permanent opportunity.

This role is ideal for an experienced heavy equipment operator who enjoys working outdoors and supporting railway maintenance operations. You will operate railway maintenance equipment, assist with track inspections and repairs, and help maintain safe and reliable railway infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

·       Operate on-track and off-track heavy equipment

·       Support railway track maintenance and repair activities

·       Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure safe operation

·       Assist with track inspections, material distribution, and general maintenance

·       Clear vegetation, debris, and snow from railway right-of-ways

·       Railroad or track maintenance experience is considered an asset

·       Mechanical experience or trade training is considered an asset

·       Knowledge of railway operating rules and signals is considered an asset

·       Follow all safety procedures, operating rules, and company standards

Qualifications and Skills:

·       High School Diploma or equivalent

·       Valid driver's license

·       Experience operating heavy equipment

·       Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

·       Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

·       Strong attention to safety, communication, and teamwork

·       Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
