Order Picker

Adecco is currently hiring multiple Order Pickers for full-time opportunities in Dartmouth, NS. If you enjoy staying active, working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and meeting productivity goals, this could be the perfect role for you!

As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting grocery products using a voice-picking headset system while operating a pallet truck. You'll travel throughout the warehouse with an empty pallet, receive picking instructions through a headset, locate products in designated aisles, and manually load boxed grocery items onto your pallet. Once an order is complete, you'll deliver the pallet for processing and begin picking the next order. Full training on pallet truck operation will be provided.

• Salary: $17.09/hour

• Location: Dartmouth, NS

• Schedule: Monday to Sunday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

• Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities

• Operate an electric pallet truck safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse (training provided)

• Use a voice-picking headset system to receive order instructions and product locations

• Accurately pick grocery products according to assigned orders

• Manually lift and place boxed items onto pallets while maintaining order accuracy

• Navigate warehouse aisles and retrieve products using coded inventory locations

• Transport completed pallets to designated drop-off areas for further processing

• Consistently meet productivity, accuracy, and performance targets

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Report inventory discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors

• Work collaboratively with team members to support daily warehouse operations

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, order picking, grocery distribution, or material handling experience is considered an asset

• Ability to operate or learn to operate an electric pallet truck

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven warehouse environment

• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, and move grocery products throughout the shift

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy

• Ability to follow verbal instructions through a headset system

• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing physical tasks for extended periods

• Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
