Material Handler - Kitting

Adecco is currently hiring a Material Handler - Kitting for a full-time temporary opportunity with potential for permanent employment in Kanata, ON. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy staying organized, working with inventory, preparing materials for production, and supporting a team in a fast-paced environment.

In this position, you will support warehouse operations by performing kitting, picking and packing, inventory transactions, cycle counts, material replenishment, and other material handling activities. You will also help ensure materials are available to support manufacturing and customer orders while maintaining an organized and safe warehouse environment.

• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour + applicable shift premium

• Location: Ottawa, ON

• Schedule: Evening Shift | 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM

• Employment Type: Full-Time | Temporary with potential for permanent employment

Responsibilities

Inventory & Material Handling

• Prepare material kits for manufacturing and customer orders.

• Pick, pack, and organize products for shipment.

• Replenish materials and maintain inventory levels.

• Transfer materials between warehouse and production areas.

• Perform cycle counts and inventory checks.

Warehouse Operations

• Organize and store incoming inventory.

• Process inventory transactions using company systems.

• Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies.

• Support stock movements and material requests.

Team & Process Support

• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assist with training and process updates when required.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure production and customer needs are met.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work and reside in Canada.

• Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or manufacturing experience is an asset.

• High school education or equivalent preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Basic computer skills and comfort learning new systems.

• Basic math skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively and follow established processes in English.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to accurately follow established warehouse and inventory procedures.

• Ability to safely operate applicable material handling and processing equipment.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintaining an organized work environment.
