Technical Field Engineer

About the Role:

On behalf of our trusted client - a global leader in railway transport and digital mobility - we are looking for a Technical Field Engineer. In this role, you will support the introduction of rolling stock and transportation systems, helping ensure they operate safely and reliably. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and project teams to identify technical issues, provide solutions, and contribute to continuous product improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site.
• Provide technical support during troubleshooting and repair activities.
• Analyze failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the implementation of technical modifications and improvements.
• Maintain accurate records in internal failure management systems.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and project teams to ensure effective communication.
• Help improve product reliability and overall performance.

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or another Engineering field.
• Previous experience in a technical or engineering role.
• Good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Experience in the railway, automotive, or another industrial environment.
• Familiarity with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE/EHS) requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• English proficiency at B2/C1 level or higher.
• Willingness to travel for business as part of the role.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of product reliability, quality, and safety principles.
• Experience with commissioning, field support, or technical maintenance.
• Familiarity with engineering standards.
