Accounts Payable

For our client, an international organization operating across multiple European countries, we are looking for a Shared Service Accountant (Accounts Payable) to join the Finance team in Sofia.

Responsibilities

• Process and book supplier invoices and employee expense reports
• Monitor payment due dates and approval workflows
• Review accounting periods, accruals, and supporting documentation
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs
• Perform reconciliations and maintain vendor accounts
• Generate and review aging reports
• Support banking activities across multiple European countries
• Ensure timely and accurate accounting records
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers regarding payment-related matters

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, P2P, or a similar accounting role
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Experience working with accounting systems and MS Office, particularly Excel
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international team
• Hands-on, proactive, and service-oriented approach
